Yay i bought myself an itouch as birthday present! Feels good to be able to buy this using my own "hard" earned money.. Hahahz! Although many people owns an itouch or iphone, how many uses their own money to buy it? *smug* Just kidding.. Hahaz.. another year has passed and i want to thank all my friends and loved ones on this special day for all that they have given me, support, love, care and concern..

I saw this little girl on the bus on my way home this evening. She was kneeling on a seat besides her mum and was looking out of the window. She wore a "my first skool" tee shirt and looked no older than 5 years old. Her mum was pregnant. I noticed that because i was standing infront of her mum. Frankly, her mum looked tired. "Ma i am hungry, did u buy any food" the little girl asked. "no i didn't." her mum replied half-heartedly. "Alright, i shall bear with my hunger, it's ok" the little girl said. At that moment, I felt that the little girl was very obedient and mature despite her young age. Then, it was time for them to alight. The little girl accidentally kicked a malay lady lightly while getting down the seat (she was looking out of the window and thus need to turn before she can get down) Immediately, she turned and looked at the lady apologetically, slightly afraid, and wispered "sorry" to her. I was shocked when i witnessed that scene. How can one so young be so..so guai? 那个小妹妹真的很惹人疼. Emotions overwhelmed me and i couldn't described how touched i felt at that moment. Although what she did has nothing to do with me.
Maybe she is unable to get all the attention she needs from her pregnant mother (my own perception) but in my opinion, she deserves the best things in this world and i hoped that she can continue her good manners and grow up to be a fine young lady.

NOT nice.. the proportion of the mushroom toppings and the thin crust is not right. This led to an overwhelming mushroom taste that turns me off after just one slice. Verdict: Over-priced, over exaggerated ratings from mags, disappointing.

pumpkin soup is not bad, but i've tasted better ones before.

Looks good but dont tastes good. :S

Oh ya, their truffle fries cost $9 but its totally not worth $9. Served in a small metal tin with macdonald look-alike thin fries and that's about it. The fries has a 'truffle' taste which is well.. not really what we expected. And for $9, i think they should do a lot more. Lots of room for improvement definitely. Anyway, i didn't even bother to take a picture of it.

Exams are finally over! Wha i can finally get a life and be sane again. Hahaz.. Year 1 is over! How fast is that? Sem 1 felt like yesterday.. lol. This sem is more hectic i guess.. Probably because i felt the need to work harder this time and i took up an elective that starts at 5 and ends at 8pm every monday. So my mondays are 8 to 8. It was tiring so i guess that living near school helps a lot. Hahaz.. Intermediate Macro was DIFFICULT. Lecturer was not committed and didn do what she promised. Linear Algebra 2 was HARD but BUT i totally love, i mean like my ang mor math prof. Hehe:) He stays near school so he stays near meeee.. Hahaa.. Dun worry i won't stalk him. ;D Calculus 2 was o..kay.. Hahaz. that prof was quite popular among girls as well. Hehe. HW111A was fine, didn't thought that it would be fun at the beginning but i guess my instructor managed to change my mindset. :) Oh and i got an A for my presentation! Hehes. My group did well, i tink all of us get a or a-.. Good job guys! :) Defence sci mod was quite crappy. I only studied for less than 24 hrs for that test. Had to complete 100 mcqs which seems easy but actually not so cos the lectures are not really comprehensible. HAha. Still, i hope i can pass. (its a pass/fail mod) Anyway micro was alright. I only have complains abt the final paper which was harder than the paper my other school mates took last sem! Why like that.. :( Anyway, forget it, it's all over and i can't do anything about it. My elective was oh well.. dun feel like talking about it.. These days i really envy frens who do not have so many core mods.. Haiz, lets not dwell on sad stuff. Oh I am going to support YOG! hahaz..not by volunteering but by watching the Gymnast Men finals. Wanted swimming at first but the tickets all sold out already.. Hahaz.. i went out with jaime and yiqing after my last paper ytd. ICe Kachange puppy love is nice:) I wouldn't have watch it if not for yq's recommendation. The name didn really appeal to me at first, but the movie is nice and the money is worth. I guess the next time i will meet jaime is in aug cos she's going US this sunday. I will miss u jaime. Take good care of urself and have fun working in the theme park! Hahaz:) Okies..my plan for this holiday is to start my practical driving lessons and to get a part time job. Hope to succeed in both goals. Jia you!!! :D

I have so many things to mention and so many photos to upload i just don't know where to start. So i guess i shall focus on the recent happenings. Well, i took off my braces yesterday! I feel that my teeth looks so different, as compared to around a year ago. I am glad that my mum offered to let me put braces after A's as i really didn't like those pictures taken during proms when my front teeth looks so out of place at certain angles. I want to look pretty at every angle haha. Anyway i am going to collect my retainers tomorrow. My dentist told me 'must put retainers every night for at least 3 to 4 years ok? ' It's fine, i am prepared to commit. HAHA.

Well, i must mentioned that the most useful module that i am learning now is a module called Mastering Communication. I seriously feel that my instructor is knowledgeable and very engaging. Someone mentioned to my instructor that she thinks that this module is not relevant to our future and that she learns nothing out of it. I totally disagree because although the instructor may not follow very closely with the described outline, what he did was to teach us life, teach us how to be a better person through his own experiences and incorporating key lecture points in between. He always asks us 'are u guys still with me' to check if we are following and welcomes alternative ideas. He is also an encouraging tutor who thank us after we make any comments or contributions. Most tutors will just say a simple 'ok' and move on to the next student. I have learnt many things throughout the 8 weeks in class, especially about resume writing. At least i know how to do a proper one now. :)

Recently, i feel that i am becoming more of a perfectionist. I cant stand mistakes and i don't feel good when things are not the way i want them to be. Maybe the virgo side of me is coming out.

During lower secondary i had this classmate who changes boyfriends quite frequently and this was something known to the whole class. I was puzzled during that time as i didn't understand why couples do break up. I was naive enough to imagine that break ups are unnecessary as nothing unhappy will happen during the relationship. Now that i am much older, i understand that conflicts, distrust and many other problems can arise when u are in a relationship. I think that every couple has their own set of problems, maybe just minor ones when one just give in to the other, and perfectly compatible couples are rare or non-existent in real life. Life is not perfect, everyone knows this, but can you(i) accept this fact?

On the 2nd day of year2010, my JC pae class finally had our long awaited class dinner at bugis:)
Victor offered to fetch me and jaime and suatkee to bugis. Thanks for picking me up from my place:) The trip to bugis took erm.. around 2 hours? HAhaz.. We got from jurong to orchard and then to lavender then to little india and went round newton circus and finally got to our destination, bugis. (maybe the sequence is wrong but yes we visited all those places on the way to bugis..hahax) Not delibrately though.. we got lost as the 4 of us, including the driver dont really know the way well. HAha:) It was a fun AND funny trip.. There were many times when we discuss and decide whether to turn left or right.. when one of us feel that "hey i heard of this road b4" but it turns out to be unfamiliar.. when we took the wrong turn and end up going 1 more round.. and when Victor says, " eh u guys not hungry ah?" and we said in unison, "hungry laa.." when it was way past the time we were supposed to meet the rest.. and when we were critising the bangladeshis lack of road safety knowledge when the car went along little india and the most popular Mustafa. Whahahha:D

In the end we found our way and parked the car at bugis junction's carpark, where we took the hotel's elevator up. There the 4 of us were greeted by a super-uber polite hotel person who was wearing a burberry vest as jaime pointed out to me. He was very kind to tell us the way out of the hotel to bugis junction. (we might not be able to get out of the hotel so quickly if not for him due to our bad sense of direction as a whole.haha.)

Steamboat at " tai fung" or "tai something" was not bad. $19 nett per person.:) There are more then 10 of us in total. It was a good meet up:) Thanks qihui for coordinating:)

ORCHARD road! My first time going past orchard in a car.. :)

I had fun! The outing is a successful one:D Although on the way back we sort of got lost again(went past orchard again.hehe).. but this time round we got back on the right track quite fast.. thanks to everyone:) Got home at around 11 plus. :D

Christmas celebration started off on xmas eve at jon's place. It turned out to be a potluck with jon's parents' church friends. Food was good, especially the turkey:) I bought a logcake to share.:)

On Christmas Day.. We had a second round of celebration at my place. We had home bbq. Hahaz:) Something different from the authentic christmas food.

Then on boxing day, we had our third round of celebration. By ourselves:) We watched Planet 51 and had brunch at jp. It was a nice and funny movie. I like it:) Then we went to the new mall at Farrer Park, namely the City Square mall:) It was a green mall.. As in energy saving "green" . Hahaz. After that we took the train to clarke quay and walked down to the dinner place. Here are the photos:)

I feel that he looks like a rich 'ah beng' in those clothes. Haha.

I know its kind of late to talk about twilight but... i caught it last fri and it was not too bad.:) I must say jacob's hot bod has shifted some of my attention from edward to himself. The long hair is gone and he look so much better! I dun really appreciate guys with long hair! hahaz. oh my. But edward is still handsome. :):)

If edward can buff up a little then it would be even better.:)

We had an early celebration last saturday and dinner was at spageddies italian kitchen:) The first time we had spageddies was at marina square but it has closed down some time ago. The good thing is they open another chain at orchard central. Haha!:)

My first sem in NTU has ended. This 3 months passed so fast, it feels like i am in a whirlpool. Haha.. mid-term came fast. I was still trying to adapt, trying to add courses in week 2 and week 3 and then came week 5 and 6--midterm! 3 math mod in one day. Its crazy.. Cos i haven got the mood to study during the first few weeks of school and thus on that 1 week of study week i was chionging all 6weeks of notes and all. Oh well, i dun blame anyone for that. Anywae, i hope i can do better for end year.

Met up with yiqing and jaime ytd:) We went to orchard to shop. :) It has been so long since i last went orchard.. Feels great to see the girls again. Too bad jaime had to leave early for her briefing for tml's cip trip. Chatted with yq after jaime left cos we were both tired from walking.. I feel sad for girls whom boyfrens are cheaters. :( I met up with jon for dinner and we went to shop for christmas stuffs. I bought something for desiree and guoyan. Hahah..small cute stuffs, i hope they like it. Anywae, the christmas tree outside ion is really cool. I like the interior.. feels very magical when i first stepped into it on tue night after my last paper. Hahaz:)

I attended jon's sea soldier night on 4th sept 2009 which is held at east coast park chalet. Yh asked yq to go so we two can accompany each other. Met up with yq at jp and took train together to bedok, which is super farrr. Then we went to the sheng siong there to buy some drinks cos jon told me that their drinks cmi. Haha hopped on a cab and reached that place with a little confusion. Nobody knows that the name of east coast chalet has been changed to goldkist chalet so when i told the cabbie that name, he asked me how to go. >.< lol.

This year's birthday is more special than past birthday celebrations because my chinese(lunar) birthdate falls on the same day as the english birthdate. Haha..they say it only happens once in 19 years? Hahaha. Okie so, I celebrated my birthday with my parents one week earlier than the actual day so as to include jon in our dinner. We went to my fav japanese restaurant at jp. Now its called ichiban sushi. I love the food there:))

First week of uni life has ended. Well.. I want to write out my honest feelings about this first week of school. Throughout the week, I felt lost, sianed, stunned and well..hot. The first three expressions are for the application system for the electives that NTU has. Kuku one everything no vancancies!!! Like that how to add!*faints* When i see that there were no vancacies on the first day of the application period i was super shocked and scared :S As I was only given 12 aus, i need to take up electives so as to increase my academic units. But till now i still cant get any place for watever course that i have chosen. SAD. Plus, the weather this week is so hot! I sweat so much while walking to school... I tink i will take bus from next week onwards. And i dun know much ppl as tutorials have not started yet. Today's math programming lect was... WOW. I suck at computer stuff and i tink that this course is a sure fail. Anyway, the conclusion i get from today's lectures is that i have to make friends with china ppl. That's because THEY ARE SO SMART!!! MAS111 is well.. hard.

Suppose that A,B,C,D,E,F are 6 persons in a party such that for any 2 of them, either they know each other or neither knows the other.
Please prove that among these 6 persons, either there are 3 such that everyone knows the others, or there are 3 persons, none of which knows the other two.

Well.. the prof asked a china student to come up and explain the solution.. So smart of him but i dun fully understand his explanation. So...

Hmm i will work hard for my degree. But i cant help thinking if i had chosen the wrong course!! ArghhHHH. >.<

Officially ended work yesterday. I typed out the first resignation letter of my life on wednesday. Although I always complain about going to work, I actually worked a full 7 months at OKH ballet centre. Hahaha. I only work 2 days perweek.

The most ridiculous thing: Some aunty customers calling me 'auntie' when i serve them. Very lol cos i look so young can??? Hahahahah xP

The most irritating: Weird customers asking for this and that then in the end try le didn buy anything.

The most scary: Getting scolded by ang mor customers when goods didn arrive on time and being around my boss.

The most enjoyable: Seeing those cute little girls wearing the leotards and skirts and listening to their conversations with their mums. Very funny and simple minded:)

Generally, it nice meeting my colleagues and my boss. I learnt many things throughout this 7 months and I appreciate the chances given to me. Thanks.

It was a perfect day at the barrage. 17/6/09. We stayed from when the sun is high up in the sky to night fall. It was hot but not unbearable. Most importantly, I had a great companion:)

I went to the PC show yesterday for the second time and its was more crowded than last fri night. Wha..i was blured by the sight of so many people la. Oh ya i met wanting at level 6. haha. Anywae, i tink the fever last night is partially due to the virus that spread among people at the PC show. Somemore i was having running nose which lead to a lower immunity as a result i kana. sad:(

Today is jon's POP! Haha. Just got back from tekong around 2. Good thing he is from the 9am-12pm batch. Can't imagine how hot it would be for those attending the afternoon batch. The heat siren already went off during his parade at around 11am plus so the temperature must be higher than 35 deg celius. Wonder how high it would be at 2pm man.

Danced and squeezed through the crowd all night. Its damn crowded. Jon and a few friends went there too. Qiaoyu didn make it in the end. Sad. Anywae, we cab home at round 5am when the club closed. Haha..how quickly the night passes in there. Mayb i will go again but mayb not. Jon doesnt like me to go. Haha:) The next day i was super shag, went home after piano lesson and lunch to sleep. Cant understand how jon did not sleep the next afternoon. My fren has to work somemore. Pro. haahaz. That's about it.:DDD

After yiqing left for her primary school gathering, me and jaime continue to shop around for jaime's fren birthday present. In the end, we not just get her fren's present but also a hairband each from Chomel.:) They were having sales:))

Ehh..Jaime went to meet her frens for second round of celebration at round 3pm so we parted and i went over to jon's house...

to make TRADITIONAL CUPCAKE!!!!

(okie, the initial plan is to make blueberry muffins to test the new oven but sadly the kuku ntuc at the basement do not hav any muffin mix. Thus we have to make do with the only thing they have, the tradition cupcake mix.lol)

Here goes the confusion.. We happily bought the traditional cupcake mix thinking that okie la at least still have something to bake. Anywae the second aim is to see whether the new oven good anot ma.. Then, when we reach home and read the instructions.. BOOM! " ...steam the mix for 12 mins..." WAT?!?!? So we do not bake them but steam them?! Then no need use oven le lor! =.=

Haiz..buy already have to use it right. SO we went on to pour the flour into the mixer and add eggs and water.. Happily thinking that this is going to be easy. But we were wrong once again. Cos we needed this paper cups thing which the house dun hav and jon had to go that kuku ntuc to buy. And guess what? I dun call the ntuc kuku for no reason, they only have those miniature size paper cups used for making small tarts. lol. So in the end i accompanied him to go their house nearby to buy. Guys dun really hav much sense when they buy this kind of things. Hmm.. So finally, we got it and went back home. He found a wallet on the way and we returned it to the security guard.( at least we did a good deed. haha)

After waiting for 12 mins, the three of us opened the lid and was disappointed to see that the cake has flattened and looked far from the picture on the box. It was good that jon's mum came back at this time and told us that we need to put the paper cups in a glass to maintain the shape when the mixture 'fa'. Talk about enlightening the noobs. lol. So with her help, we finally managed to make some traditional cupcakes that looks like traditional cupcakes. Haha:D

Got to hang out with my crazy girlfrens on 28 may. Had our pinic at MARINA BARRAGE which was a fantastic choice thanks to qy. Perfect weather, perfect atmosphere:) I made egg mayo spread and the rest bought snacks and drinks. Wt bought balloons to blow! hahaz. So much fun and its a great and fulfilling day spent. Alright, Sat after work, i went out with the boyfren:) Had dinner at botak jones opposite cineleisure and shop around before going to Chijmes:) Wha there were soooo many people at orchard. Performances here and there and we saw a primary school dance competition outside taka. Haha..the small kids are so cute:)

Actually wanted to take part in the programme organisedby a cafe in chijmes about chelsea vs everton match. But they told us that if we want to stay and watch the match we must each order a maincourse and drink. Which is WTF becos who eats dinner at 10pm??? So forget it lor dun watch at ur place also no big deal. Chei. Hahaa..so we chose another place that show the match, Hog's breath cafe! It's a very nice cafe!!:)))

Currently slacking at xiaoyi's house. Felt like and had the time to blog so here i am.:) Yesterday was such a busy day. Many customers in the afternoon and the katz stocks came in. Well, its good that the soft shoes finally came but the thing was we had gotten 5 big boxes of goods which comprised of not just the soft shoes. And that's the problem. After helping the boss to open the boxes and after taking out box after box of character shoes, it became apparent that our shop front has no space to accomodate all the new stocks. And i got this conclusion from the reality that everywhere i turn, i only see stacks of shoe boxes on the floor.
SO....
stacks of shoe boxes= hills of shoes(to me) = 'where can we keep and arrange the shoes?'= major headache= 'hi sir/madam, sorry for the mess'= 'fiona, u should have arrange the shoe in size order when u carry them to the floor! (WHEN sizes are not in order when they are placed in the boxes in the first place and THATS how she pass them to me,she didn open in order la wth'= have to arrange everything first before goin home= goin back late.

AND i totally hate those customers who keep trying and trying and trying and in the end buy nothing. That customer of mine tried like 8 pairs of sneakers and in the end didn buy any. Totally WTH. So if u are one of them, please stop this inconsiderate behaviour. thanks. lol. Alright that's enough. Phoo.

I finally met up with my best girlfriends last sunday! It felt nice and good to meet up with them after so long. :)

Alright, i met up with my 404 clique in the afternoon. Everyone was late but i was early. OH well, nvm at least i get to chose and buy qiaoyu's birthday present while waiting for them.:) Shopped around with emily (second person to reach) before going to meet wanting (third person to reach) at boonlay interchange. Qiaoyu (the last person to reach.haha) boarded our train at lakeside.:) We went to cuppage something for lunch. The japanese restaurant emily suggested was closed so we settled for something else at the first storey. Their food is.. not very nice:/ lol. But business was still not bad i dunno why. Hmm. Then we went to shop at OG and taka and wisma. And rested at starbucks before i left for second shift, my 204 clique! HAHAZ:DD

Last Saturday (28th March), I had a fantastic day filled with excitement. Haha..well..its not like i went for rock climbing or hiking or anything of that kind which most ppl would link to excitement or adventure. But, i was really excited cos we were going to places we never went before. other than the night event.

I met up with jon at around 12 and took the train to alljunied station. After that we walked to lorong 17 to find the restaurant that he had picked for lunch. Haha..took awhile to find that place but the sweat was worth it as the food was really good.

Actually, the main reason why we went to big splash was that we wanted to see the flea market/ garage sale. Hmm..but sadly, there wasnt much to look at. Oh ya, theres was this man who offered to teach us some massage therapy with some lotion and iced towel. lol. He was wearing angel's wing. Haha. but we decided not to patronise him cos its feels quite weird to do all those things when we were sweaty. Plus, we dun really want to spend 10 bucks on this kinda thing. lol.

Thus... since theres wasnt any spectacular things at the garage sale, we decided to go to the waters and pick some seashells instead.:))

Many people went for the earth hour event/campaign and its quite nice to know that many singaporeans actually take note and are willing to take part in such environmental campaigns. :))

Hmm.. i thought that they will off the lights on the entire 'durian shell' but sadly they didn't. So, the whole place is still quite bright. Only maybank and uob had their entire building switched off. Other than that all other buildings are like half half. So in conclusion, we were a little disappointed cos its still so BRIGHT. -.-

We went down the bridge to the park and sat on the pinic mat untill 9.30pm. Hahah.. i lay down and fell asleep. :P Sorry was quite tired by that time. Hahaz.:D

After i woke up, i mean i got up when they are goin to on the lights back, we hear the speech made by dunno who and we left the place with everybody.

Went to orchard for a drink at indochine. But we only managed to stay and watch a bit of the soccer match as the open air veri smelly part of the pub was full house and the air conditioned inside was closed already. Haha. too bad for us.

We went home at around... eleven plus. :))

All in all, i had much fun that day and i totally enjoyed myself!:)))

Saturday

It's kevan's first month on earth:) Celebrated this special day with everyone at chevrons in the evening. Our chalet is called banyan, still cant believe that theres only four chalets avaliable at chevrons. Anyway, we had a buffet dinner as well as some bbq food made by kind adults whom my cousin's husband employed just to serve us. kidding. Haha.. Went to arcade after dinner and explore the place a bit. Played with my cousins when we got back in the chalet as it started to pour.

I have got 3 or 4 mosquito bites after i got down from the swing! IT onli took like less than 10 mins!:(

It's all happening out there.
On the top right hand corner, my cousins are fighting/strangling/tickling each other. On the top left hand corner, my big cousin is watching the fight with interest while aug seem to be scaring guo yan who apparently was covered by my uncle sitting at the edge of the bed. Kevan, oblivious of the chaos, was staring innocently at his grandpa. The lady besides my uncle is his wife. They were talking to kevan. As seen from the picture below, my mum and her sisters were playing majiong. Ah cheng, the brave one, was challenging the adults in the game. All these were happening in the same room at the same time. I took note while telling jon everybody's name. HAHAHA. Btw, noise level is high esp when the majiong ppl wash their tiles. lol.

More people were watching tv downstairs while the rest are out bbqing or chit-chatting.

Alright, only watched 30 mins or so of the chelsea match as i cmi le and went home. Got home at ten plus. Had my much needed rest at 11 plus.

The weekends were rather packed but i enjoyed myself. The only 'oh man' thing was that i had to drag myself out of bed the next day(monday) for work. Which i did. Worked at the shop on monday it was lucky as business was good even with the heavy rain. This means i got more commission.:))

Tuesday, I stayed at home in the afternoon but went out for dinner with jon. After dinner we went to walk around and i asked him to sing a song as i thought that this would make the walk more romantic. but u know wat?? HE TURN TO ME AND SANG MARIKITA!!! Wth man.GRR.

Wednesday, me and mum went for my dental appointment. I was dreading it but erm it was not as bad as i thought. Goodee:D Doctor only took 5 mins and ta-da i am done:) We went to jp for lunch as mum had a lunch appointment with her frens and yi ma.:))

This is my dessert. We had ding tai fung.:)

Today, I went for lessons in the morning and read newspaper in the library before goin home.

Yesterday morning, woke up early and went to suntec for the ntu talk with jon. Had breakfast at jp before that becos we were both too hungry. Hahaz. There were many people who attended the talk but sadly didn manage to meet any frens. Nevermind. Haha.. Wanted to catch a movie at marina square after the talk but almost all the movies were sold out. So we decided to eat instead. Haha. Both of us were hungry again. lol. Ate at Han's, share fishnchips and pandan cake.:) Nice. Shop around and off we go to the dinner place. Its at holland village. Thanks dear:))

I am back from malaysia! Had a fun and exciting trip. It's a whole new experience for me i must say.. Because things are quite different when u go overseas without ur parents! Ahaha:)) <in a good and nice and cosy way i mean.:)> Alright, we meet up with the tour group at 7.05am on 8th Feb 2009 besides furama hotel in people's park. We were supposed to meet at 7am sorry erm we didn know the train at outram will take 8mins to come. Lucky the driver cum tourguide is kind and we didn get any scoldings from e rest. Haha. Off we go to woodlands checkpoint.. and after everyone is done, the real journey starts:) Breakfast at johor bahru, its a diff place from what i expected but its nicer. After breakfast we went to this Museum at kota tinggi. It's a little weird cos no one is at the door and the whole place is empty when we arrived. hahaz. But its alright cos the place is not scary. Hmm.. then off we go to derasu fruit farm!!! The trip there is a little long but i guess the radio and our anticipation kept us awake. Haha:) The Weather was good and we saw many fruits!(duh. hahaz) See below illustrations. Okie.. lunch is great cos suprisingly i can eat rice! Haha. It's okie if u dun understand. We bought quite alot of things there. Hahaz. Then after saying goodbye to fruit farm, we went to this super cool beach with silver and grey sand done by monsoon waves.:)) I nv see before so its quite wow to me.. Hehe. Hmm. The wind is super duper strong and some malay kids were flying kites:) Stayed there for awhile before proceeding to a place near where we had our dinner. As it was still early, we were allowed to walk around and we found marybrown! Bought a kid's meal to try their chicken. It's as nice as kfc! Hahaz. But we lost our tour ppl when we came out of the ff restaurant.:/ I was a little worried but jon stil eating the chicken. So i was a bit flustered but luckily we managed to find them. They were already sitting at the dinner place. LOU HEI for the 3rd time. Hahaz. On the second last day of Chinese niu year. :)) Nice food. Had small lobster:) Then we took a long long ride back to kota tinggi for firefly watching.:)) The photos will tell u more..:)

Haha.. First month of work has ended:) Jieling is coming back to the shop and theres some adjustments to our work schedule. One of my colleague will not be coming back to work untill april and i will only be working on tues and fris starting feb. This arrangement is alright for me though it means that i will earn less. Anyway i will need to go to the dentist quite often starting this week.:/ Oh ya, I collected the FIRST SALARY of my life last fri!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!! Hehehe..was sooo happy la. YAY:) I earned thousand plus including the few days i worked during the end of dec 2008. happy:D Hmm.. okie CNY is quite good as i get to collect more hongbaos this year.:) Broke my own record, partly thanks to jon's parents and relatives and my boss. Haha.:P

2 more days to chinese new year! So fast man. Hahaha.. Was busy busy working and coming home late had cost me precious sleeping time which resulted in dark circles and a slightly swollen eye. But its still money that comes first so i will not grumble. Haha. I didn get to go buy new year stuff with my parents this year due to the lack of free time.:( Quite a pity cos i would love to go do shopping with them. Haha. Anywaes, the shop will be open on chu san, the wednesday which is sooooo early!! BIG BOO. i tot i can have one more day off la. Wth. Aiya nvm work 3 more days and can rest le. cos i have taken leave on saturday as my off day fall during the chinese 牛year! Haha. Hmm..okie last mon i went to chinatown with jon and jon's parents after work. Got many free stuff to eat and the peanut stall had so many customers crowding around trying and buying! His dad bought stuff for us too. :) Tue i clean my house( a bit) Wed is dad's birthday.:) We went to celebrate after dad fetch me from work. Thurs we went bugis at night to get some stuff and we also booked tour tickets to m'sia. Cant wait!:)) Hopefully i can still bite and enjoy those food after plucking my teeth.:/ Fri i went to give shina her birthday present( after delaying for dunno how long. oppsxz>,< ) and cherry's too. Good thing dear cherry gotten it already today. Efficient work shina.:D Hahaz. Yup and today work again and went to have dinner with parents straight after. Oh ya, i realised that one of my colleague who works part time lives in the same block as me. O.O Haha. Its year 2009 already! Last year(1 day ago) most of the time was spent on studying. Mugging for a's, reading notes, going to school, attending lessons, goin for yoga cca on wed..etc etc. Hahaz..most things evolved around school. And of course besides school, it was about spending time with boyfren or if not staying at home to do work. Although its not a very packed and 'studious' year like it was back in sec 4, well, theres still exam stress and all that. Anyway, my new year resolution is to become a better person. In terms of intelligence and social skills. I must do more good things and be less bad tempered. Yeah.

Update of ytd, we went to benjamin shears bridge to watch fireworks.:)) The view is great and we can see the sea and the floating platform.:) Plus the flyer is just behind us. :D Hahaz.. After countdown and fireworks, we went to clarke quay to drink and eat. On the way down the bridge we saw Mr Leow and some seniors with him. So coincidental. Haha. Btw we had a free dinner ytd cos for some reason someone pay for our bill or mayb those restaurant ppl cocked up the tables. (i really dunno) In the end we didn fork out a single cent and the ppl gave us change for the fifty dollars someone paid. LOL. weird right? Hmm.. Okie..Clarke quay was super duper crowded ytd and the buses ar.. All fully filled. Hmm..saw Wah tuck for the second time in a week. Hahaz..

And we went home at four plus. Took night rider and guess wat? Our bus broke down beside tiong bahru plaza. LOL. tink its overloaded. Haha. Luckily enough we managed to board the bus behind. Hehe. The aircon was ccolder there and there was more space to stand as compared to the first one which broke down. Hmm.. i dunno wat happen to the rest of the other 60 passengers on the same bus as us in the first place. We were lucky. haha.:)))

Oh ya we went to watch the singpore vs vietnam match on 21/12/08. It was at the Kallang stadium and many supporters went to watch. But sadly, we lost. Hmm..think we were not lucky enough on that day. Anywae vietnam won the cup. They had also beaten thailand. lol. Its a nice experience though. First time i go stadium watch young lions.:)) Singapore go!;D

Ho Ho Ho... Just completed my christmas shopping this afternoon and here i am at my cousin's place for the christmas countdown. Hahaz:D Erm.. Let's see. On 20th Dec, Aug came back!!! After 4 months aboard and abroad. Haha. TOO bad we didn brought camera along cos who noes they will allow cameras when they dun allow camera phones. lol. Alright, we all went on this super mega navy ship ( tink the length is 10 times the length of my living room) which they slept in for 4 months. They actually went on a UN mission trip which Singapore participated in. They went to iraq to guard the oil base or something in the middle of some sea. Haha. quite dangerous i tink cos u dunno what might happen. Okie.. Late afternoon i met up with jon, yiqing, yong hong, cheryl, jiajun, and we went to galilee church to watch the christmas musical that jaime was performing in.:) She was part of the choir and seeing their performance somehow reminded me of my choir days during secondary school when we perform during various occasions. :)) Hmm..sorry photos i haven upload yet. soon k? Then.. On Monday(22/12), cousins gathering at cineleisure kbox. Quite fun but was broke( seriously) after paying the bill which amount to $155 for 5 ppl. They say dun have student discount or member's discount cos its near christmas.=.= Haiz. Zhen Shi de. Thanks aug for treating us dinner.:)
Okie i recieved a good news that day, which is that i was in for a interview at a ballet shop in tanglin shopping centre. Yippee!!!!!!!!! Cos i really need a job. HMM. okie. So, on tuesday i went for the interview lo. Thanks my jon for accompanying me there cos i am such a noob. :DD Erm.. i was a little overwhelmed by the different differet kinds of dancing/ballet attires. Names that i have nv heard of before.. Like diff leotards for diff grades and point shoes and whatever dancing shoes that they sell. Brands that i nv hear before(again) and weird things like they dont call sleeveless leotards sleeveless but call it Amy. ?!?!? no link at all can? Hahahz. Nvm. I shall learn it all. Okie wed, which is today is christmas eve. Hehe, did my last min shopping with jon at vivo this afternoon. Then come home change and wrap present and eat some meat then come here le. Hahhaz. Alright, i shall let others to use the com le. Shall not be the evil sister. i am the oldest here la. cos aug not here yet. Can u imagine the amount of noise they are making now while fighting? Alright.. It was quite a busy week last week. Lets see, class chalet took place on last last fri(5/12/08). It was a one night stay at Costa Sands Sentosa. This is the first time I had a chalet there and i tink it was quite a nice experience though the room is quite small (smaller than the usual ones we had at Costa Sands Pasir Ris). I spent the entire afternoon walking around the beaches asking vendors for any spare styrofoam boxes cos we needed an ice box but to no avail. In the end they dun need it anymore as we decided to start the bbq early due to various reasons like the sun was too hot(chuckles:D) Ah, anywae me and jon didn get to play with them on the beach tat afternoon and we didn get the ice box So sad. But nvm. :) Okie we walked back to find them cos they wanted water and jon is needed to open the door as he was holding the key. Rested in the room for awhile and got scolded becos i lost a game of taidee which i have had 3 twos. >.< Then slowly ppl went down to help out at the bbq pit. I marinated the sotong lei! with the help of cheryl cos i have no idea where to start due to my inexperience. lol. Hmm.. It rained for like 3 times during bbq. But in the end we decided not to care and just continue in the rain. First time to be so involved in the bbq process. Am usually the one chatting behind waiting for food:p haha. Well..in the end left jasmine, marianne, yh, ed, jon and me and we managed to finish most food with the help of ed and jon. After yh finished bathing the 5 of us (minus edward) went to cafe del mar. Didn stay there cos everyone must buy a drink which we dont wan to.

The 5 of us went to siloso beach and chatted till 4am.. It was very cooling and it was also my first time sitting on the sand talking with frens during wee hours. Hmm.. went back to chalet and bathed with jasmine and marianne in the public toilet. (in diff cubicles of cours) Played one to one majiong with jon and played a round or two of taidee and went to slp for awhile before we had to check out at 10.30am. Time flies..

Ate LJS brunch at vivo and went home to sleep.

Woke up at 4.30am and went to the airport with jon's family to sent his parents and bro off. They were goin to hongkong. Then after that we had a swensens breakfast at terminal 1. After that it was time for the movie bolt. Caught it at tampines mall which was a mistake cos the theatre/computer system broke down and they were unable to print the tickets. As we cant get our student discount we decided to watch the 3D version which is $10 each. The movie is cute so the $ is worthwhile but sadly.. we cant keep the 3D glasses.:(

After that we went to east coast road via bus cos i wanted to find the nyona store that sells nyona kueh which i saw from the show that introduces nyona kueh from that channel 8 show "little nyona" or something. BUT when we finally found the store/shop, it was not as nice as it seemed on tv and i was quite disappointed. Hmm.. we still bought kuehs and continue to walk down to parkway parade. Had the all-so-famous katong laksa at a roadside shop. (Okay, actually all the shops are by the road.lol) Nice experience.:) Went home around 6 plus.

Went to find jon and frens at evening time after dinner. Came back and mum called to tell me its my aunt's birthday. So instead of goin home i went straight to uncle's house to join in the celebration. Drank a bit of fruit wine and went a little tipsy. NO la. Just a little red on my cheeks and around my eye. Haha. Went home with my parents at around 1am plus. Oh btw my aunt really can sing professionally and u will be convinced by the no. of trophies at their house. Haha:)

Prom took place on dec 1st at the island ballroom of Shangri-la hotel. Hahaz.. food is definitely better than the sec 4 prom and it feels so much more grand than last time. Went to do make-up and hair at a salon nearby my house in the afternoon and guess wat? i met baoxian when i came out of the make-up room! Hahha. So coincidental and i was so excited to see her la. :) then after that james suddenly pop up behind me saying hi. Haha. He accompany her there. So nice:) Okie.. after that jon came to meet me and gave me a rose.:) Haha. Sorry i was not ready yet and was quite blur. hahaz. Hmm after that we took cab to orchard parade hotel which we booked for 1 night but we didn noe that the money was not deducted from the credit card when he booked online and in the end he had to go outside to withdraw money to pay. $350 lei. Hahaz. Erm then we waited for the rest to come before setting off to Shangri-la together.:D

Well.. this week is kinda busy because there is shopping to be done almost everyday. Yesterday had s26(first three months) class outing. Although i didn go for kbox in the afternoon i manage to meet up with them after dinner. So technically, i didn pangseh hor louis. hahaz:) Hmm..not everyone came.. Some were busy and geok woon is overseas. But its still good to see qihui and christine:) Oh ya four christmases is nice:) Btw, I jus read the newspapers and I think that the Mumbai attacks are really terrifying. I totally have no idea what's on those gunmens' mind and the fact that they are at my age or just slightly younger or older than me makes me even more -- i dunno how to put it in words. Hmm.. i am glad that i live in this peaceful and no nonsense island. I love Singapore! Hahaz. Felt sad for Singaporeans who are still stuck in Mumbai and Bangkok. Hmm..

This japanese restaurant serves ramen 2 for the price of 1. Hahaz. Ideal for those who wants to save money(like me) :)

Various things to update and some overdue photos to post. Urhm. This few days i have not been feeling very good mentally due to the irritating camera s that i was and still am trying to fix. This is the first time i try setting up an electronic gadget, i mean u noe.. things that got to do with computer and internet and whatever code or address.. And through fixing the cam i got to also set up a new router in my home which is to me a big accomplishment. i nv understand or even noe these things before cos my dad's fren will help set up everything for us. But this time they, my parents, asked me to try and fix it so that we do not need to trouble my dad's fren. So as a result i spent like 3 days configuring the camera which we bought from comec and spoke to the singtel guy lyk 3 times while feeling bad cos many things the technician say i dun understand and he had to repeat and simpify for me so tt i can follow wat he said. But still, altough a big part of it is done i still cant hav complete access worldwide. if u understand what i am saying. lol. So..this means that we are most probably goin to seek help from my dad's fren in the end... diao.

Apart from this, i am also puzzled by inconsiderate behaviour from people living in my block. What's wrong with them and also Why must people do bad things that are not right and will inflict pain on others? haiz. So sad about the dangerous world out there. lol

Hmm nvm.. anywae sry chaiyi i cant go the xiaxue party. :( next time ba.

Hehe. I am eighteen! I am of legal age. I can watch m18 movies. I can go clubbing. I can buy liquor. I can buy cigarettes. Hohoho. :))) An additional thing to be happy about is that prelims was over when my birthday came. hahaz. From the prev post, i celebrated my birthday with my parents and family on thurs and on friday its time to celebrate with my frens and boyfriend. hehe:D

Anywae went to bugis with yiqing and jaime after school today. Very long nv go out with them le. Haha.. Bought the same pattern shirt each, very funny cos all looks somewhat same jus different colour. Haha.

Went for bowling with my dear cousins ytd. The last time i went bowling was like eons ago, ytd was most likely the first time this year. Hmm..student package is good. Haha..feels great to be a student when it comes to student meals and special packages for us at kbox etc etc. Come to think of it, there's even a 20% off for students at the Nan Xiang chi restaurant in bugis when we were looking arnd in the afternoon. Haha. too bad we didn know what to order so in the end we didn eat at there. Oh ya. i think i am in love with toast box peanut butter bread. very nice.:)

Had a fabulous time with my cousins yesterday. First time xiao fang and xiao ting join us for this kind of cousins gathering. haha..we went to je's k box. Then xiao ting and husband drove us to clarke quay and treat us dinner at tcc. A big thank you to them! Hahaz.. we chatted till the cafe closing time and went to west coast park mac to cont chatting till 2 plus a.m! Kudos to xiaoting's husband who came to drive us home! 5 of us squeeze the back seats okay! dun play play. HAha.:D
P.S reminder to ah dan: there are only 12 animals in the zodiac k..:P

Yoga Conference 2008

JJ organised our first international yoga conference on 24th May and it was quite a success! We invited Dr. Amy Kor as the GOH and also had the honour to invite Ms Teresa Hsu, now a supercentenarian and she does yoga everyday! Hmm.. me and anling are invoved in the yoga together with 7 of our yoga members. Girl power! :D Stayed back a lot of days past 2 weeks to practice. That day was fun and i dunno how much the school spent on this event cos we had alot of food! There were 2 tea breaks and lunch provided and all participants also got a conference shirt each! though iz rather plain. Hahax!

I had yoga dance prac yesterday after the sports meet. It was at LT5. Some changes in the steps here and there and Mr Jega held a so called meeting with all those involved in the upcoming JJ international Yoga conference. Haha.. let me say again.. JJ students can attend this event FOC. So do come and support if u can. Haha:D Hmm..after that jon and i went to the Cathay to catch speed racer. sorry always make u wait..:( but thx dear:) HAHA. took 174 there. Reached there at abt 4.10. We were toking and walking towards the ticketing place when jon saw this new hp product. A mini laptop, super light and small. SO he "eh? isnt that the new laptop?" and US "let's go see." And so both of us sort of quicken our footsteps to take a look at the laptop. We were so engrossed in wanting to see the funcions of the laptop that we didn realise that Ms AW was like infront of us! We( us and ms aw) were jus separated by this small plane of plastic/glass tat separates the "table" into two so that either side also has a hp product. So Its like we are facing her but we didn noe until she point and smile at us. Jon didn even know untill i pull his sleeve and tell him " eh ms aw..!" ...

AIyo... both of us were shocked to see her. And she was with 2 other tchers i tink. IZ like so long after the sports meet and we managed to bump into each other at cathay. WHY SO QIAO?? Hahaha..anywae we said hi and smile and went off. Was shocked to see her cos we were holding hands all along and i tink she saw us coming but we reali didn notice. Our eyes were on the laptop. ANywae...we missed abit of the movie cos we went in late but nevertheless the movie is nice. Rain can speak english quite well! haha.:) After movie we went to eat at 日本村 at the basement. It was Jon's first time. hehe. i ate that once with my parents. Hmm..food was not bad and ambience was good. Their business aso not bad. HAha.. after dinner we went to walk walk at fort canning park.

Wha. we walked from the cathay to clarke quay (the central) through the park! Ohmygod. I first time go the park and was abit scared cos dark le ma. But we survived. hahaz. Saw couples hanging out along the way. Haha.:) Oh. we also saw two grasshopper mating! Er Hem. his so called animal porn. haha. jk. And he saw a rare species of scorpion. It was sensitive to sound cos when jon told me the name it moved away. Nice ah. first time see other than from books. :) Hmm..long walk and we decided to hav hokkaido ice-cream when we reached clarke quay. HEHE. ice-cream is nice!!! though it made the ends of my hair sticky. no elab needed. ALright.. Count down at my area there and YIPPEE! gimme five! :DDDDD

Today. Went to Science Centre! We had free admission from the disney on ice tickets:) My shoe spoil while i was on the train to meet him. WTH. So we went to look for shoe before brunching. Sorry dear. :/ Argh. made me spent $19 for that shoe. And the cab incident. haiz. As seen my day started quite badly, but of course after that was better... Hehe. Very long nv go sci centre le and other than going there with school and parents when i was young, this is the first time goin with a fren. More than that. but u get what i mean.. Hahaz. Amazing things inside the sci centre. Haha.. Covered every part of it i guess. Or most of it. OH got tree house at the outdoor eco garden area. Haha..though it got me a few mosquito bites, the trip there is fun!:) Sci centre is nice okay.. Haha. Hmm..had dinner ( didn gt to eat kfc....;D) Hahaz. and came home. :D

Oh ya. Invited a few stares cos we were wearing chelsea and man u shirt. Haha. why can't coexist? Can hor. :D

Chem SPA is over!!!! la lalalalala la~~ Or neh nehneh nehneh nehneh~ Hahaz:D Yesterday I went jp to catch Nim's island with jon, the movie is nice but something bad happened which really freaked me out. Here's the story:

I wanted to go to the washroom after we bought the tickets and so after putting my bag on the theatre seat, i looked around for the exit and decided to go from the door at the back as i thought the door will lead to the toilet. So, i went and push that door open just to find myself in an rather dark green painted corridoor.

There is no toilet and to my horror one end is a wall and the other end of the corridoor leads to 1) the projection room which only have steps leading upstairs and 2) a long flight of steps leading to what i can see from above some garbage and black plastic bags most probably filled with litter. AND i cant get back to the theatre as the door is those one direction kind. People can go out but not come in. I was frightened because the corridoor smelled bad as i think someone smoked there before and i DIDN bring my handphone with me!!! So i am like all alone with no communication devices in that scary looking rather dark corridoor! At first i didn dare to go down the flight of steps as i was afraid dunno what would it be like downstairs( the garbage gave me a bad feeling, mayb some bad guys were down there smoking or wat you never know), so i tried calling out to the people inside the theatre but to no avail. Felt really helpless that time. :'((

I was walking up and down the corridoor not knowing what to do and before my claustrophobia sets in i decided to try going down the flight of stairs to see how. LUckily to my relief, \ i see those stairs leading down to the ground floor and yet another door. Don't know why but i pushed open the door and went in, this time i make sure i could get out if it leads to nowhere again. Then theres another door and i went on and VIOLA i found myself standing behind those staffs tearing your tix and directing you to your cinema. Came out from the door behing them. I was like PHEW! fresh air and people!! and carpeted floor and yes i got back to the movie place. One guy was shocked and said i went the wrong way. lol. i knew that:/ So he directed me to the washroom like finally and i went back to my theatre from the front door. Told jon everything and was relieved to get back to him. Really had a scare and i still dont feel good after i got back.:(( But i am fine now. Haha.

Moral of the story: Do not anyhow go through doors as it may lead u to nowhere.
Always bring your phone with you!!!

Alright, back to school stuff. JJ YOGA CLUB is having this international yoga conference on MAY 24th which has 3 workshops for you to join. It's from 8.30am to 5pm (arnd there) and tickets are selling at $20 for students, $30 for adults. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Students from other schools can pay via ther edusave, JJ students don't need to pay i think.

As a result of this upcoming conference, I am now quite busy with yoga stuff as we have to practice the yoga dance and need to find and buy the so called costumes we will be wearing. Hmm..seems like i have not been contributing much to my CCA untill now and it feels somewhat good to be involved. At least there will be something to write in my testmonial at e end of the year. Haha:)

Oh ya, went to helped out at the JJ talent time last wed and got to hear them sing. The Jurong gang not bad huh. Hahahz..anywae will at least get 3rd so ya.. hehe:)

Date back to 2 days ago, Fri the 25th. It was a long day in school particularly because of the econs extra lesson from 2.30 to 3.30pm. Following that everyone had to attend the civics talk with a lady working for the government. Then, me, CCY and jon boarded bus to interchange and me and CCY went to AJC to see the harmonica cum guitar concert. Of course, we are only interested in the guitar part cos MEECHAY and JOE HAN were performing and they are the only reason that make me travel all the wayy to yio chu kang which is as-a-matter-of-fact very far. After that the rest went to eat while me and regina walked to mrt. She went home after that and i met jon before goin back tgt. Oh btw. joehan was the conductor for one song and he was very good! hahaz. Didn know that he is so musically inclined till friday. aiyo. Good thing he didn need to pay the midnight charge tat night. haha. Anywae went to bishan yesterday with chaiyi. That tutor looks quite young. haha. Oh, junction 8 looks nice! The last time i went was dunno how long ago and also u guys can see alot of Raffles ppl there. This sets me thinking: does mixing with smart people makes u smarter? if yes then i shall go j8 more often. HAHAHA.lol. Ah anywae..i went home myself after walking around for awhile cos she had another tution and i want to go back for dinner. Btw, NAPHA is finally over so now during PC we can play all we wan. yea:) Ah, anywae there are a lot of tests coming and i am stressed and pressurized so much so that my pimples wun go away. -.- HAiz.. I really envy my friends in poly. They seemed so carefree at least for most of the time. Mayb i should have gone there too..

Anywae, back to the pimples problem. PLS PLs PLS let me sleep early so that these little things will go away. I dun wan to look ugly on Xiao Fang's wedding day which is on May 10th. Hehe. Yea, food:)

Seems quite awhile since i last updated. Anywae we finally got our class t-shirt last week. It is nice! haha..go to jaime or yiqing's blog for photos. round neck give me the secondary school feeling. Hahaz.:) Erm.. i saw Mr sumting and his wife at IMM last fri night! Ahaha. :DD Didn see how the wife looks like but they were holding hands. ohmygodz not bad huh? hehe. Hmm..didn realli hav anything special to blog about other than school stuff. Oh, i got a B for pw. :( but i expected C la so B is a bonus for me. OP totally sucked. *bang wall* Oh. yoga is adopting a somewhat more systhematic/strict system. Guess this is neccessary for the 'survival' of the cca. lol. Ah anywae. i jus rmbed last week math test sucked. Mr sia is going to suan me like mad again. :( Now i dun like math tests le. not that i like it before but u noe..the feeling towards it is different now.
